Regarding the Flyers, Fletcher said they want a vet who can play a lot and is younger than Elliott. Hart needs to not be run into the ground and also in case this last year wasn't just a blip, you have someone who can play.

i'd be all for kuemper, and getting fischer too would be a nice addition to the bottom 6. I could see colorado trying this trade, especially since grubes hasn't been resigned yet. I think preferably they'd be looking for 50% retain to try to fit other players in as well

Sakic has never traded a 1st before, and I don't envisage that he's about to start for 1 year of an injury prone goalie.

A more realistic return would probably involve one of Kaut or Bowers, former 1st round picks who have been stuck in the Avs depth chart.

That's a good point. I agree. Just don't see Arizona biting at any of them. Maybe Bowers, but that's a big maybe. Knowing Sakic and BA I think negotiations will be fierce, haha.

To an extent I do agree but if they aren't willing to offer a first but other teams are, Avs would drop out of contention pretty fast.
