What is the point of Arizona trading for Gostisbehere just to get a 7th? They don’t need cap space.

Habs and Blue Jackets hang up immediately.

I’m a fan of Batherson, but Zub is nothing more than depth for CBJ. And there has gotta be a 1st in there, probably another high prospect.

Laine is going to get another year, likely rebound his value before FA. If CBJ are trading him before that, it’s going to be for a worthwhile return.

If CBJ were competing, yes…but between Boqvist, Bean, and Peeke, CBJ have younger, cheaper RD with more team control. Priority right now is getting those guys playing time.

Werenski and Gavrikov are your 1st and 2nd pair LD.

Zub is a good player, but he just doesn’t do much for CBJ right now.
