Yeah seems more like a small brain fart from the OP. Don't have to take Byron at all as Tierney will be gone either at the deadline or as a UFA next summer. I'd be shocked if he was back. He doesn't even fit the way they want to play

We won't need to acquire any support/role/depth player for a while because the Sens will have tons of young players to evaluate. Even after graduating several quality players recently (Norris, Batherson, Stutzle, Brannstrom), there'll be ~20 more quality prospects to evaluate in the next few years.

The only players they should acquire (if possible) are difference makers or significant stop gap veterans.
