Description
And now the Pens have cap space to resign some players and picks to rebuild their farm. Also, had to bring Jagr back for a cup. Bridge deals for Sheary and Faksa. Hagelin's speed and Duchene's speed on the same line... Wow.

Why would Colorado retain salary on Duchene? Besides that, the salary cap probably isn't going up at all. Also, Teravainen is not going to sign for $1 mill. Dumoulin will probably want a little more too. You will be tight with the cap but you will have some movement with it. Just need to add value to some of these players.

I completely agree with your analysis. However, I titled this "I Know This Won't Happen." It was not realistic on purpose.

Just curious, why did you post it if you knew it wasn't going to happen and it wasn't realistic? What purpose did it serve anyone to post it?

Fleury I get, but giving up Geno for some picks in the next 3 years and giving up all that for Duchene just seems stoopid. We have a window of several more years to win a cup while Sid and Geno are still in their prime and this just appears to blow it up.,

If someone was willing to give up a 1st rounder for Fleury, you'd have to think that it would have happened already.
