Marchand is better, is signed longer, at almost 5 million less. Ya, no.

Say what you want about him, but back in the day when he would pull his dirty crap, he would always answer the bell if challenged

if by answer the bell you mean hid behind chara, lucic or whatever and then throw body shots or slashes in a scrum sure, He's averaged less than 2 fights a season his entire career and most of those are against guys like Stamkos or Ehlers, the toughest guy he's ever fought is Zack Smith once and that's by a vast and wide margin.
Marchand is lots of things, but a tough guy is not one of them. He's a super pest, but he runs 99.9% of the time and always has.
