It makes no sense for Toronto to do that trade. It would be Marner for Mantha + Hagelin or Eller and a pick

I posted that an hour ago, with Ovchinnikov and Engvall, and no pick. MTL and NYI fans commented that it didn't make sense for WSH. I built it from WSH's side and they have to dump Schultz for futures to make the cap work. I agree this looks too expensive for Toronto. But not making changes might also feel expensive to them.

Maybe I'm overrating Sheary. What's he worth, as a 29 year old who hasn't hit 50 points in a while, but still chips in 30, and can play either wing, any line, and step in on the power play if needed?

The difference is Marner gets way more points than Mantha. It’s definitely worth the extra cap hit
