I’m fairly confident that if we get a top 12 pick, we will land the final piece of our forward corps in this draft. My favourite right now in terms of fit/upside/kinda realistic (i.e. not assuming we’ll win the lottery) is Kemell, I think he’d be absolutely dynamite alongside Stutzle, but literally anywhere in the top 12, there should be a top 6 C/RW available for us. Also I think Kemell may get the Guenther treatment, Guenther was imo the 3rd best prospect last year and he went 9th because he’s a winger. If we get lucky we might get Wright or Lambert, a little lower in the top 12 and Savoie, Geekie, McGroarty, Cooley, and Yurov are excellent options. Any one of those fits seamlessly into our long term top six imo (keep the Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson line together likely as line 2, and run either Stutzle-Pinto-Kemell/Yurov or Stutzle-any C-Pinto). Even if we got Nemec I wouldn’t hate it too much (Chabot-Zub / Sanderson-Nemec is two top pairs) although I would say it’s a mismanagement of assets to draft another D, even an elite RD like Nemec or Jiricek, with our 1st this year. Although I think they’ll get snapped up quickly anyway so the choice may not even be ours lol, everyone wants elite RD. The last top 12 relevant guys are LWers Miroshnichenko and Slafkovsky. Despite how much I’m starting to like Kemell, Slafkovsky is still my favourite prospect from this draft class and has been for a year at least at this point. I think he embodies everything the Sens have been drafting for recently as he’s huge with high end skill and good skating to match. Honestly sounds like a Slovakian Tkachuk.
But the point of this ACGM is, if we draft a top six LW, or even draft a top six centre and would prefer to keep Pinto at centre as well to run 3 good centres deep, do you guys think Stutzle could be moved to RW? There are plenty of high skill left shots that play RW in top 6 roles around the league (Kucherov, Rantanen, R. Smith, M. Tkachuk, Mangiapane to name a few, yes I know they’re not all in the same tier shut up) and I feel like Stutzle has the skill to be able to adapt to that side of the ice. If we got Slafkovsky or Miroshnichenko, do you think Stutzle could slide to RW? Or if we got a centre and bumped Pinto down to 3C, our LW depth is obviously much stronger than our RW depth, so do you think Stutzle could/should move to RW to allow Jarventie or Formenton into the top six at LW (I think both are slightly higher end prospects than Sharkolov/Boucher, and C. Brown is ideally on our 3rd line when we’re competitive)?
Lineup below is with Slafkovsky, alternate lines if we draft a C (look at this depth, that 3rd line is nasty and Greig at 4C is bonkers):
Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Jarventie-new C-Stutzle
Formenton-Pinto-C. Brown
Paul-Greig-Sharkolov
Watched this kid play for the first time the other day.... he flops quite a lot.. also has a terrible habit of looking at the refs when he thinks there should be a call. I assume he'll grow out of that but reminded me of Sid when he broke into the league
I wouldn't mind trying out Stutzle at RW for a couple of shifts or even a game or two.
However, if the coaching staff doesn't like what they see, they reserve the right to put him back in the spot where he has spent his entire NHL career so far.

Which is the #2 LW spot behind Tkachuk.
I think Stutzle’s skill ceiling is so high that within 1-2 years his line will be the first line regardless of who his linemates are, he won’t be a career 2LW. I was mostly just throwing this out there because apparently Ottawa doesn’t want him at C anymore and we have so much high end LW depth with very minimal options at RW (Sharkov and Boucher are our best and neither is a top 6 guarantee.

He draws so much penalties too. I think it’s at least 8-10 so far this year or maybe more
