I think that return alone is actually better than Pittsburgh's top prospect core lol moreso commenting on that than the return itself but yeah:

    POJ
    Hallander
    Puustinen
    Poulin
    Legare

    Confused

That would be an easy no from the Avs.

Why would Colorado decline this? This is a deal that puts them over the top for a guaranteed cup.

It doesn’t put them over the top it puts them in instant cap hell, pulverizes their prospect pool and makes it so they don’t have a 1st round pick until 3 yrs from now. The Avs aren’t a one year cup run team, doing that trade makes them that, just next yr if they did it they would have only $24M to sign a starting goalie, back up goalie 2 top 6 wingers, 2 bottom 6 wingers a 6 and 7th dman and have no means to fill most of that with internal prospects because the top 2 d prospects and the current best forward prospect and only 3 remotely close to being ready to take a full time large contribution. Then it is even worse the following year when MacK gets a monster deal, Byram gets a deal and they magically find some more depth guys. So yeah that’s a hard easy no.
