He has more value to us than he would in a trade. Yes he has a bad contract, yes we are in a bit of a cap crunch for next season but I would personally rather trade Monahan for cap space than Lucic. Lucic is the heart and soul of this team. IMO he is the unofficial captain of this team. Amazing locker room guy and obviously loves the community.

I hate to say it but nobody wants lucic and he cant be bought out so he is a flame till the contract is done.

He’s great at 4LW. His lack of speed is less of an issue there, and he is free to bash and crash there. He’s also capable of providing a little depth offense. At 1.5m he’s great value, and a great guy to have in the room/in that position. It’s only the fact that he makes 5.25mil on the 4th line that’s the issue.
