Sharks say no to that, not what they want for Hertl

Both teams say no unfortunately -- VGK is trying to win a cup, Smith is a big part of that effort

Smith would be a great fit...but not at that price...yet to get Smith they'd have to overpay because Smith is an important player for VGN- who should be a cup contender IF Eichel makes it back and is close to his usual self...will be interesting to see what VGN do to manage their cap when all the injured return.

Hertl...doubt SJS even look at a deal which doesn't include a 2022 1st and then some.

If you are trading for Hertl the sharks aren’t taking a pending UFA in return as the main return. That would just be foolish. Robertson is a LD which is not in the sharks top 3 for positional needs and the third is too low.

Sharks are going to ask for a first and a prospect at least either center or right defense.

I want Smith, but that's too much to give up for an expiring Contract. Especially since Vegas basically has to shed salary anyway when Eichel is ready.

Not saying they will give him up for peanuts. But with other options available from teams that aren't as Cap strapped, we could get Smith for less than that.

The Sharks deal is an unnecessary lateral move.
