petry isn't worth that this year, and the flames don't need him anyway, he'd only be on our 3rd pair

I think that you've overvalued Jeff Petry and Carey Price, especially to the Flames. Calgary is effectively in first place in our Division (particularly after last night's dismal showing) and is one of the top two defensive teams in the NHL. Petry is old and slowing down, expensive, and signed for three more seasons. I don't think that they would pay a second-round pick for him, let alone either of those two elements.

Massive overvalue on Petry. He would be 3rd pair in Calgary and is very expensive. Pelletier will be 5x as useful for the Flames next year (and maybe even this year) as Petry would be

Oilers aren't giving up that for non playing Price, and even starts to play a 5.5m cap hit to for the following years.
Leafs might do that Allen trade.
Hoffman might be too big cap hit for the next two yearsfor Bruins too consider.
Petry's cap hit now and in the future is really turn off for teams to want him, certainly without sending cap back to Habs/
What's the purpose of the Weber trade? 7.8m cap hit if he returns. Preds are still on the hook for if he retires.

No thanks from Pittsburgh. Kulak isn't needed and the RW situation is actually pretty solid in Pittsburgh. The hope is to move Zucker and bring in another LW with some shooting talent.
