its unlikely we win another cup with toews and kane so we should trade them for packages similar to these where we acquire as many first round picks and some talent like kakko and holloway and try and land bedard or mickov to then have a quick rebuild

If you can find someone to pay that for Toews you should take it, but it won't be Minnesota.

Rangers say no to that trade. Why would we continue to ruin our already screwed up rebuild by giving up a cheap piece for an expensive aging Kane? This doesn’t do much considering we’d still need another RW. Prefer to avoid bad trades all around for the time being.

If NYR didn't want to move Kakko for Eichel I doubt they do it for Kane considering he's much older. I could see the rangers having interest in Kane However.No way EDM moved Holloway in my opinion. Need contributors on ELC's to build a contender around Mcdavid and Drai's 21 M combined. Value looks good in the MIN trade but I don't think we trade him within the division if it happens.
