Description
Due to Varly having 1 more year on his deal worth $5m and both teams being up against the cap, I don't see a significant return but, a "scoring" affordable winger, plus the conditional pick from a mid round possibly 2nd pending their playoff performance. If the condition is met and the Isles get the higher pick, that's when Edmonton gets a 5th, if not, no pick coming back...
As for the CBJ trade, I really don't see many teams taking Domi on w/ full caphit, any team will look for retention to give anything decent away.. But if the Oilers can minimize the retention, I feel the left handed D almost NHL ready prospect plus a cap dump with a mid to later round pick COULD be beneficial for both sides...
Also, these deals hopefully come before Nuge is off the IR, but below shows the Line Setups when he returns...

If that gets domi why dont we have him already? I think our first rounder is more likely to be moved than Yamo.

The isles would be foolish to accept anything less than a1st and B+ prospect. No cap dumps coming back, maybe they retain $1m. I’m sorry but the above package is dreck.

The cap dump would be to make the trade work for this season.. People need to understand even tho he's not the long term solution for ANYBODY, Koskinen has an expiring deal, and Varly has 1 more at a $5m hit, with both teams up against it.. If they deal Varly, there is a limited market for goaltenders-Edmonton being the glaringly obvious choice, which limits the ask for Lou, but, I do see them getting something useful with a pick, whether it's Yamamoto, or maybe even Lavoie, they'll likely get somebody who is cheap/team controlled for a few more years to unload $5m in cap space for next offseason..

Sadly me too, I don't get why Tipp loves this kid soo much, cause he tries hard? For a Top 6 forward playing with Leon every game, his points production and lack of shots on goal is absolutely pathetic, he needs to be bumped down to the 3rd line, or used as a piece in a trade, like the one I proposed.. As much as the reports indicate Holland looking for a 3rd line C, I think the bigger need is another winger who is better than what Yamamoto is, and likely will be...
