22/23: Approximately $72.117 mil tied up cap-wise, with only 14 players signed. If goaltending were the only issue in Edmonton, sure, why not blow your wad for a guy who hasn't played for 8 months, and had below league average numbers in 4 out of the past 5 years.

But, when the issues are far deeper than that (Bottom 6, D, etc.), this is just asking to have your team f*cked for the next few years.

Price isn't playing, so there is absolutely not reason Price is gonna to help the Oilers this year. Oilers are in 10th place in the West. As much as Montreal fans want the lottery pick, Oilers shouldn't be giving up away and Broberg and Lavoie

I think a price deal could workout if needed by even at 50% retained the contract is buyout proof. Would need a 3rd team to make the money make even slight sense for edmonton. Sadly that would costly ALOT to get done. Would rather but all those eggs into a different basket and go for it with Campbell or try as hard as possible to snag Jarry if he makes it to FA
