Description
A stab at what the roster looks like for 2022 if the team trades for Chychrun and deals Tarasenko in the offseason. I've chosen the Isles here for two roster guys; just feels like more of the type of deal DA would make while the window is open rather than trading for high value picks and prospects.

I've used the savings from Tarasenko to resign some current roster guys that are hitting UFA (Perron, Husso, Bozak at league min if he wants to play another season), and left a little headroom to take care of depth RFAs I didn't mess with like Logan Brown and Jake Walman. I really like the way this defense shapes up but there is a lot of salary invested there and the forward situation is pretty murky.

Somehow you got a better return for Tarasenko in his 30s than what you gave up for a top pair Dman that's 23.

Think the ARI deal is just fine, but the NYI deal needs work. It would only make sense for Isles to invest in a pending UFA winger like Senko next year if they go all in, which makes moving assets like Beauvillier impossible.

The thought is that Tarasenko is a massive upgrade over Beauvillier so still a move to improve the roster. Not sure how married the Isles are to him after disappointing results. He only has one additional year over Tarasenko.

I really don't agree on this at all -- Perunovich + Bolduc + 1st rounder is a LOT more than Beauvillier and Mayfield.
