Surely there are better values out there than 5.8m Quick, and without giving up a pick. I would certainly pass on the unknown Caulfied especially if costs two top picks.

I think Vegas’s pick will be too high for the Habs to consider, unless it’s a draft day trade when the player available is what the Habs are looking for

That is kinda dumb. They're trading a pick that is lower than the pick Caufield was drafted with, and nothing suggests he'd have lost value since the draft to go from a mid-1st round to a late 1st round in a weak draft.
