Lyubushkin clears up the depth D issue, also a RHD which is ideal and can PK. Not sure if the extra 6th is needed for retention but felt generous tonight. Mikheyev I think a third even with retention is enough for a guy who isn't used much by TOR and could potentially be a Nichushkin-lite. Adds some depth scoring and maybe turns into a solid defensive forward too. Johnson is just an idea I've toyed with (excuse the pun!). Yes he's over 30 and durability may be a factor due to size. Hard to judge his value with the current injury and the last trade being a cap dump kind of deal. Compher and a 3rd would give Chicago a useful guy who plays RW/C the same as Johnson but more a utility player than an offensive force and a reasonable pick plus a cap saving. Chicago effectively gain Compher, a 2nd and a 3rd for dumping Seabrook's LTIR cap, and saving a bit more. Johnson has cup pedigree and would probably waive the NTC to go to the Avs, and could be the ideal help for Newhook when he moves to 2C next year (face offs especially RHS face offs, example of a smaller guy who has been successful etc) whilst also helping Kadri with them as he seems to get tossed more often than anyone else. (See what I did there?) The Johnson trade would always assume he returns in reasonable time from injury plus there's the added fun of a team 'full' of Johnsons!!! Jack to Erik to Tyler.....Johnson scores! (There's no end to it!) No idea if I'm close on value. Let me know if it sounds like I'm being a bit of a d**k!
