Description

Just messing around with the idea. Elias P isn't gonna be traded but if he did for some reason this could be a base. Not sure if sabres would be ready to make this kind of jump and it might hurt them like it has before, but here we are.
Canucks clear cap but are getting rid of their best player. Sabres cash in on some of their first round picks but more needs to be added, just not sure what pieces.

Any Pettersson trade would probably start with Cozens/Krebs and your own 1st round pick

I don't think it's "and" but I'm aware it would take a big piece. Would probably be fine with switching the firsts as a start

Pettersson is back to looking like himself over the last 14ish games and Rutherford has said he's untouchable. The only chance you had at getting him was in a trade for Eichel with a desperate Jimbo in charge.
