Description

It's time to just sell at the deadline. Reilly Smith can't be resigned for next year, and Janmark shouldn't be resigned. Trade them for whatever you can get - probably a good return for Smith and just "whatever' for Janmark.

I'd trade Dadonov as well, but in my mind, they'll trade him in the off season.

Get some assets to use in the offseason, but don't try to add to this banged up team that's not going anywhere this year.

yeah, would rather take picks with missing playoffs at this point, build chemistry with the guys we have right now, and rest and recover for next year

I'd have to agree with that.

They've traded so many prospects and picks to have the team they have now. Everyone could see the desperation for a number 1 center, but the price in futures/cap crunch it added on top of prior moves really squeezes the team to get every ounce out of the limited prospects they have left.

Just 9mil in cap space after moving reilly smith and janmark, with 14mil on LTIR?

VGS has gone all in on their quest now. almost 61mil (for next 3 seasons) in 6 forwards, 3 dmen and 1 goalie is troublesome, but only works if you're getting quality from the other 12 players collectively making 20mil
