Nope...swap out Marino for Pettersson and it is, but no way would I trade Marino alone for Boeser and Schenn, much less add Kapanen to the deal.

My two cents on the trades:

- I don't mind a deal around Boeser for Marino, but I'm not a big fan of Kapanen. I think he'll be another guy whose next contract is too much for what he provides.

- Curious if Dickinson has any trade value with his contract... may have to take a contract back in any deal.

- I love the idea of taking on Dadonov for a year if the Canucks trade a forward and VGK are willing to pay a pick to get rid of his cap. Not sure it will take a 2nd and a 3rd though.

- I don't think the Avs would give up Newhook + a 1st for only one guaranteed year of Miller. The best trade partner will be a team that has the desire and cap space to extend him to maximize the trade return. Don't know that the Avs have that cap space.

The Avs are under NO circumstances trading Newhook. Miller on the Avs even next year is no better than the 6 or 7 best player. VAN getting Newhook or Byram and trying to use Miller as the chip to do it will NEVER happen.
