I understand the CHI trade is pretty decent. The #8 OA pick that's playing pretty good in Utica and the #5 OA pick in this draft is a lot to give up. It's just tough to see a 24 year old guy that's a 2x 40 goal scorer and neither of those season being his best goals per game...that happened in the bubble... get traded away. He's likely not even in his prime yet.

It's a lot to give, I love Holtz but NJ might be better off bringing in a sure fire star capable of 40-50 goals on Hughes' wing. Holtz could be that guy but we'll probably have to wait 2-3 years for him to get there.

Holtz plus a 1st? You could be giving away both of Jack's future wings.
Also, look at the impact on cap.
Holtz has three full seasons ahead of him at $925k. As will the 2022 1st.
