Description
KETIH NEGATIVE RECAPTURE ADDED ONTO CAP since there is no way to just yeet cap hit. so $3,438,462 added to the salary cap

first the forwards:
- Lazar a solid, cheap, young depth add that can skate and be physical while not being a defensive liability.
- Kuzmenko (as reported) has his sights on going to edmonton so he would cost around 3mil by all accounts and isn't too bad of a gamble at that price.

next the dmen:
- Keith retires giving 8.9mil in space due to recapture rules, allowing for key guys to be resigned and get the oil outta cap hell quickly.
- re-sign kulack, bring up broberg and neemo.
- trade for Chych with (roughly) the asking price of a 1st, A prospect, and young player. plus a 1b goalie in smith as a mini sweetner.
- sign bouchard to a long term deal, similar to the klefbom deal. (proportional to today's cap that'd be about 4.5ish x 7)

next goalies:
- Husso is THE guy to snag. there's some risk cause of his lack of games but he's looked too good and going to command too nice of a price tag to pass him up in FA
- skinner has already shown he is NHL ready so G2 is taken care of internally

Not all of these are entirely realistic but, this is just an example of what can be done if Holland decides to be creative for once. Now you've got key guys signed to term, improved forward depth even further, improved the dcore significantly and got major upgrades in between the pipes while moving out some less than ideal money. This a team that can really contend while leaving a lot of flexibility moving forward to help get the right mix to win a cup.

Pulju and Bouchard will not sign 8 years for so cheap. Kane will cost more.

I get it is a dream offseason but it would be impossible to sign 8 years for so cheap

Has there been a reliable source who's reported on what his price tag would be? Not sure the Oilers are in a position to hand out a $3,000,000.00 cap hit to a guy who hasn't played a second of hockey in North America. One year maximum value ELC seems more likely.

I find it difficult to see a scenario where the Yotes don't demand Holloway in a Chychrun trade. I think they'd be looking for one larger upside prospect with the necessary picks, hence where they'd need Holloway

There was an article saying he would need to sign 1 year ELC. Not sure if the 3M number was just people assuming bonuses would be hit.

"Kuzmenko could have signed in the NHL two years ago, but chose to sign a 2 year extension in the KHL. That allows him to sign a 1-year ELC this season that will expire UFA. That means he will be looking to sign somewhere that maximizes his exposure to other markets for when he hits FA. Kuzmenko’s agent is Dan Milstein, and when Alexander Barabanov was in the same situation he chose to sign in Toronto."

JP could be signed at that number due to not putting the puck in the next enough cause nhl gm's undervalie defensive forwards. Bouch at a klefbom style deal is more than reasonable. Kane is up in the air just depend on his greivance and if he wants to play in edmonton. But hes at the bottom of my list of possible returns
