I think the Murphy trade is reasonable, but I'm not sure the Sabres are looking for a high end RHD anymore, the Sabres top four looked pretty good once power signed so I think they are going to target more of a bottom pair vet.

That’s very true. Although I would argue I would rather have a veteran who can play in the top four and lead this defense core. Murphy may not have enough experience to be that guy, but I would look in free agency and see who you could get.

CGY BUF and CBJ trades are bad for CHI. Would be a disappointing first off season for KD if these occurred IMO.

Probably wouldn't be a bad call to swap teams on the Buffalo and Columbus trades. Columbus could certainly use a high-end RD, and Buffalo could use a C, especially if they unload Mittlestadt. I don't see Jarmo parting with either of the firsts this year, though.
