what's the point of signing marchment as basically the only move of the offseason? he's a good player, but this team was not very good without him and he is not the guy to make up the gap to the playoffs

Wings probably won't be moving down. They had 23 picks over rounds 1-3 in the last 4 year picks.

They're going to be running into the 50 contract limit soon when these guys start their pro careers.

Can not see Wings trading down when centers are in their
Need and those 3 picks could see them to other teams .

Yzerman has not traded down yest as Wings GM, only trading up positions
