Description
I am pretty sure that the Columbus trade doesn't happen with how highly they value Gavrikov, but something could probably be worked out. I saw the base of the Ottawa trade in another thread, and added a 5th for some retention. Brown could be a really good Nino replacement. Canes need more scoring, particularly on the road.

If the Flames are unable to come to an agreement with Mangiapane, what would he cost? Canes need to fix their LW problem. Canes should target at least 1 of Forsberg, Burakovsky, Nichushkin, Manigapane (trade), Gaudreau, or Lafreniere (trade) this offseason. If not this offseason, look at Huberdeau in the next.

Keane and Drury make the roster full time next season. Keane gets mentorship from Gavrikov and Slavin. Drury gets mentorship from Stepan and Staal. Canes rotate with 3 goalies: Freddie as the starter with Raanta and Kochetkov splitting time.

I know that I will get crap for the contract that I gave TDA, but I think the Canes push for a buyout friendly bridge deal. Assuming TDA is able to make it through this contract without acting up, depending on if Morrow is at the NHL full time or not, option 1: bridge (Morrow is up full time likely playing with Slavin with TDA playing 3RD OR TDA playing with Slavin and Morrow continues developing at 3RD), or option 2: trade (Morrow is up full time and playing with Slavin and Keane/whoever is at 3RD is having a lot of success).

That's not getting you Connor Brown.

    Try again.

I don't know, I think this is a very good deal, maybe just switch the 3rd rounder with a second (it's probably gonna be just few picks different since Canes are good and Hawks are probably bad next season). You get a young NHL ready RD who is known to be good defensively for a guy who is definitely good, but replaceable (Ottawa probably has his replacement in Joseph and Formenton), which then could make one of either Thomson or Jacob Bernard Docker available to be moved in a trade for a Top 6 Forward such as Fiala, Dubois, Konecny or even Debrincat. I think that's a great offer for the Senators

I'd rather just trade Connor Brown to a team that will pay at least a first round pick.

There will be plenty of those.

Also, Ethan Bear is a healthy scratch on some nights and isn't worth qualifying.
