Trades
1.
NYI
  1. Barrie, Tyson
  2. Tullio, Tyler
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (EDM)
EDM
  1. Varlamov, Semyon
Additional Details:
One thing that was proven last year was that Sorokin is the Islanders' number one goalie. And Varlamov is more than a backup. So he gets dealt to the Oilers who are in need for one, They get Barrie who doesn't fit the Woodcroft scheme and could work better with lambert. They also tuilo and a 2nd
2.
NYI
  1. Bryson, Jacob [RFA Rights]
  2. Johnson, Ryan [Reserve List]
  3. 2022 3rd round pick (BUF)
BUF
  1. Bailey, Josh
  2. Pánik, Richard
Additional Details:
I think Bailey's time is up as well. He goes to Buffalo who could use a top 6 forward next year as well with Panik for more of cap reasons. They get Bryson who is solid top 6 d-man but is used as a stop-gap for Johnson who will probably take another year or two until he's NHL ready

Sabres trade assets for an overrated and overpaid forward that takes up a roster spot from the young players? No thanks

Isles should not take Barrie. We have enough RD (I know you have him slotted to play the left) but it’s unorthodox and also Varly is allegedly not waiving his NTC for EDM

I think that you overstate the value of Bailey, who turns 33 on or around Opening Day, to a rebuilding team like Buffalo. The Sabres won't contend for a playoff slot this year, and are only like to get close in 2023-2024, just when those two young defensemen are becoming NHL-viable. Then as his contract is expiring, Bryson and Johnson will be moving in.

I just don't see it. Especially intra-divisional.

The sabres don’t need Bailey and their definitely won’t trade that package for him.

No offence but it’s a horrible trade

The Sabres need D and dont need forwards, so they trade 2 good dmen for 2 forwards?
