This is what I would like to see but Rod won’t put Staal on the 4th line, he wants him and Fast playing against the other teams stars. And Waddell all but said KK will start the year at 2C, Necas will probably get a shot there at some point though.

RBA notorious for not numbering his lines but I agree that KK starts at 2C with higher end wings and Necas gets a chance if he falters or will slot into top 6 if injury occurs. I think they can spread minutes out more evenly in the past and experiment for first half of season but focus on giving Staal and Fast shutdown duties and then figure out what works best across rest of lineup.

These things have a way of working themselves out. Never can have too many high end talent guys, injuries and slumps happen.
