Necas isn’t getting moved for a rental, but if Necas underperforms up to the deadline and depending on whether or not Patches is back by then, I could see a situation like this unfolding. IMO there would need to be at least half retention on Tank for it to work, but I’m pretty sure that this year is a boom or bust year for Necas. If he explodes he stays, but if he continues his downward trend, he gets shipped at the deadline or in the off-season for an upgrade. I would hate for it to happen, but I’m not as completely opposed to it as I once was.

Necas isn’t that good tbh, would rather just keep Tarasenko and see what happens by the deadline. If the blues are bad, would rather take a first round pick, if they’re good I’d rather keep Tarasenko.
