big brad clearly wants to win. his actions this offseason prove that through and through, and with this in mind i dont think its unreasonable to say he could be open to moving chips to save money. getting rid of monahan without retaining covers wolfs value IMO, six million dollars is a LOT of money, if that doesnt quite do it pitlick at 500k is massive value (for a player making 500k) so the combination of both covers DW pretty well. Allen at 50% retained is the best goalies available right now, obv he will not start over markstrom but he will provide you with a solid 15 wins if you let him giving calgary easily one of the best tandems in the league, the only better ones i can think of off the top of my head are andersen-rantaa and murray-samsonov. Allens value here is met with the 2nd and 5th. flames fans let me know what you think is shedding monahan enough to justify wolf? how does this trade stack up for you?
