that 4th line is filled with players all not designed for a 4th line role.
rodrigues is a silly signing let zary or pelletier have a top 9 role so they can develop properly

hanifin and andersson were very good together why break them up and weegar and tanev would form a top 3 defensive pairing in the league capable of shutting down most 1st lines as well as weegar has good play driving abilities aswell.

anaheim will pass lol lucic has negative value at 5.25 mill and valimaki so far has been a bust and does not help calgary get positive value. a more fair trade would be along the lines of

future considerations to CGY
Valimaki + Lucic + 23 2nd to ANA

gotta remeber even if valimaki has potential anaheim is taking on nearly 7 mill in cap that will cost big time

Philips is not a center so Ruzicka would play center on that line.

Giving Pelletier 10 minutes a night on the 4th line is also a complete waste of his time development wise. He would learn significantly more playing 20 minutes a night in the AHL.

I really hope we dont sign Rodriguez though, I would honestly much rather have Lucic on the team

As @Dekes has pointed out, Anaheim declines. We are not paying to eat Lucic’s salary

No to Evan Rodrigues and Lucic + Valimaki might get you Tschigerl, but other than Cap Space and potentially losing Valimaki for nothing to Waivers, not sure how this helps the Flames, better to just keep them and try to improve Valimaki's value to get a better deal. Only need to move Lucic if/when we have a Star Player coming back and we need the Cap Space
