      You may very well get a ton of angry Leafs fans coming your way, just a heads up on that. As for my 2 cents, there is absolutely no way Leafs sign Alzner at that price and clearly the Leafs love Matt Martin, he was protected in the expansion draft in exchange for a younger more talented player. No way he is going anywhere.

      in my opinion i would upgrade the offence like by getting chris kreider or phill kessle but good team overall.smile

      Leafs probably won't commit to long term to Alzner, he's just not needed that badly. Griffith is a minor leaguer, Leafs need a fourth/fifth NHL centre. Cassels and Dorsett couldn't make the Leafs, so why would the Leafs give another to acquire them?
      Players on LTIR "do not accept LTIR". They are deemed medically unfit to play. Horton is for sure (hence the trade for Clarkson). Lupul.....not sure for this year.

      To complete palhal's thought, and if Lupul wasn't medically unfit, Lou will make sure that he is anyway. wink

      More seriously, Alzner is left handed and does not really help balance the blue line. I still hope the Leafs will find someone reliable. Whether through a complex and shady Vegas deal or by landing Shattenkirk.
