If Muzzin is out long term

The value of the trade is probably okay (probably not good enough for Carolina to pull the trigger at this stage in the season though), but Mete is going to be given a chance. If Muzzin is out beyond the minimum 4 weeks, then they are better off just waiting anyways.

Carolina has really no reason to get rid of Bear. But does anyone really think Abruzzese is going to be an NHLer.? Hey I hope so, but no indication of it.

If Abruzzese has very little chance of making the league, we would take one of those 7ths in the 2024 draft instead.

Only creates the need to move multiple bodies when any of these guys come off LTIR. Abrueze is probably not an NHLer and its a move CAR doesnt have to do/dents their depth. (Maybe CAR does it at deadline, but Muzzin wont be out that long, EVEN if he does go on LTIR)

Holl is getting 20+ minutes a night (Sandin only 14) so far this season, and what happens when Liljegren comes back? Do you think that Liljegren automatically gets 20 minutes a night, and is he the right partner for the defensively struggling Reilly? Is Sandin ready for 20+ minutes a night, (Keefe doesn;t think so).

And Muzzin will come off LTIR which means the team will be over the cap and have to move multiple pieces to roster 19 skaters.

Leaf fans are either buying the depth/team Dubas has created or theyre not, but LTIRing away 5.6mil, means the cap has been horribly managed or the quality of the defense is poor that fans want to get rid of their 20+ minute a night number three dman
