I prefer to just let Drouin's contract expire over adding an equally bad player signed for a year longer.

I know we are getting a second back but all it does is prevent Barron, Mailloux or another young RD frome earning a roster spot and Zaitzev isn't any better than Drouin

The likely late 2nd to likely early 4th is worth a mid-late 3rd so we arent getting a 2nd in value.

There are better options available if the habs want to sell cap space for next season.
