Why would CHI "want out" of McCabe's contract? At this point there is no reason to trade him unless it helps the rebuild. If Dumo keeps playing this way, what is he gonna bring in at the deadline... A 3rd round pick, tops? And that is being generous. Also, CHI would probably have to retain on Dumo just to make him worth anything. You gotta add something to that trade, it's too risky. If CHI can't flip Dumo, then we are essentially just taking on a cap dump and giving McCabe to PIT for nothing.

I hate the reasoning on here of "They can then flip this guy later". No GM does this.
