Too much for Kane. You're paying for what he's did in his prime, not for what he's doing this year. Not worth it.

Add to the fact that trading one RW for another is counterproductive.

Easy no thanks….lots of high value assets expended here- and my guess is they still don’t sniff the ECF. Reason being: adding Kane does nothing to address the team’s defensive woes…to be fair, these defensive issues existed last year as well, but were masked by the goalie playing out of his mind. And as we’ve seen through 18 games, expecting any goalie to maintain that level is unrealistic.

Way to much for a rental, just the two 1sts alone.

It'll end up being the better of the two 1sts, Reaves (for cap reasons), and a pair of okay prospects like Othmann and Zac Jones, while double retaining with ARI and giving up another 3rd to do that. Nothing super brutal to the Rangers, but hurts their depth of futures.

Rangers need to find a better backup though, like Reimer. Not sure how they make all the money work.

Othmann is held in higher regard than to be moved for Kane. Rangers shouldn’t make a deal for him at all. Plus moving one RW for another is just stupid.
