Description
*As everyone else does on here, just having some fun with likely unrealistic trades.

As a NYR fan, I actually really like Lafreniere and think he will be a really good player. The problem is the Rangers tend to shoot themselves in the foot at times between a combination of "win now" and "rebuild" mentality. If they are unwilling to move Kreider to the RW, I just think they need to trade him for someone who plays RW. This does help the Rangers financially as well with Slaf ELC. *As stated above, the likelihood is virtually 0%.

As for the SEA trade, Chytil might be one of the Rangers best players even with his somewhat limited ice time. I really love his game and think he could have a little more "now" opportunity with them. This trade for me is more about seeing if Othmann and Wright could grow together as the rest of our team ages. I like Tanev's game and am unsure of his trade value but this adds some speed and grit.

If anyone wants him, I do think its going to still be pricey. I could see Montreal being the only team to "over pay" for him.

You don't actually think your suggested trades in their current states are fair, do you?

Unless Slafkovsky is still healthy scratched in favor of Michael Pezzetta or Joel Armia in his D+2 season, you can't really compare the two. It's not close at all.

Dach went for 13th and 66th overall picks in a bad draft year. He was a 3rd overall pick who wasnt being healthy scratched. Rangers would be lucky to get those picks for 2023 which is a much stronger draft. They arent getting a 1st overall pick player from just 6 months ago

do not base on what MTL paid for Dach to what NYR will get for Laf, MTL are complete and utter morons and grossly overpay for players when they acquire players, i mean they gave up a 1st + for a 3rd/4th liner in Dvorak, Dach was not worth a top 15 pick when he was traded and neither is Laf, but who knows maybe NYR will find a sucker like CHI and ARI did. (and it might just be MTL)
