Not worth the cost of acquisition.
We don't benefit from trading for him without an extension in place and we don't need him before he hits free agency.
Either we win him in free agency because we still have that need, or somebody else takes that role before he becomes available. No need to rush out and make a big trade.

Dubois might be able to be had, but it won't be for an offer that isn't competitive with the others.

The first is a good start, but a collection of C/D prospects and a 2 years of a highly overpaid 4th liner doesn't add any value. This offer is beaten quite easily by many, many teams.

thats easily double what i would be willing to trade for Dubois. Theres no reason to make this deal for the habs.
