Description

This team is clearly too far off from being a contender. They’re mediocre and old. Trade some guys on expiring contracts, gain some assets to draft well or trade them at the draft for key pieces. Don’t put too much emphasis on the teams but more the values. It may seem “high” but considering the salaries, playoff experience, expiring deals, and how desperate team get at the deadline, it sure seems realistic. Nick Foligno did net a 1st round pick in 2021 after all.

We wont get that much for Parise but the other 3 are close-ish. Maybe add mid to late picks going back for the 1STs (with protections)

I agree, I think Parise probably gets us a late 2nd or 3rd but not 2 2nds.

So Parise is on pace for 24 goals, stays healthy, hard worker, etc. The reason I believe we can get 2 2nds for him is because of Nick Foligno. He had 7 goals and 9 assists before being traded to Toronto at the 2021 deadline. After retention (was on Toronto’s book for 1.375M), CBJ got a 1st round pick for him. We also acquired Andy Greene in 2020 for a single 2nd round pick. Idk, just seems that the going rate is high
