Except for the unnecessary Domi signing it kinda makes sense. But if Konecky cost too much to obtain, why not just resign Bunting?

Ultimately the price on Koneckny is going to be big. probably three A+ assets at least to get PHI to listen, who is in no hurry to move him (hes 25, signed long term and cheaply and producing, even on a team that couldn;t score last yr or this yr). (with 4 of the top 6 forwards all missed 20 or more games last yr, and this yr, no 1C and 2LW all year). In all honesty, do you think he comes for less, based on his age and contract?

TOR doesn't possess a high asset thats cheap and youthful on the roster that PHI needs/wants (I'm thinking Sandin or Liljegren, but PHI has 6 dmen on roster under age 28, including 3 under 25 yrs old, with Andrae, Zamula and Attard/Samson on the way and Robertson would be the 4th best forward prospect in their system AT BEST, and they are already playing 7 forwards under 25 yrs old, so I dont think based on his lack of production, his size and his injuries, that Robertson counts as a A asset). And TOR 1sts are going to be late in the round. So an offer is going to start at one of Knies, Hirvonen or Niemala (as much as Leaf fans love them, its unsure that one of them becomes a Koneckny) and two 1sts. And even at that steep price, I'm not sure PHI does it.

I would rather resign Bunting and not do any of this.
