Description
I believe the San Jose Sharks should KEEP Timo Meier

It seems if we trade him we'll probably get somewhere around a late 1st and a decent, probably middle 6/2nd defensive pairing prospect. I think Meier definitely has more value than that, as long as his contract isn't terrible. He has everything you would want. Easily a 40+ goal scorer this season, physicality, size, ability to drive play, and doesn't take many penalties.

comment below what y'all think

also here are the lines I'd currently run

(also bring Strauss Mann up to the Cuda, he's too dominant with Wichita in the ECHL)

No money, and no major contracts coming off the books in the next couple of years. I think they would be better off taking whatever they can get, rather than signing him to a long-term deal. If they have stars coming off their ELC in 3 years they may have troubles signing him/them. Plus, they might get stuck in the awkward position that Vancouver is in where they have a stacked roster but can't perform.

I think they should trade him to Carolina for Derek Stepan, Dylan Coghlan and a 3rd.

I understand what you mean, but I think with guys like Robins, Eklund, and Bordeleau being on their elc we could be fine. Also with the cap hopefully going up a lot soon.

Yeah, they might be but say they land Bedard and they need to sign him to a massive deal as well as one or two of those guys.

The biggest concern though should be that they sign him and 4/5 years into that deal they are looking to trade him because they still aren't in a good place.
