1 year cap dumps aren't things you see much of this time of year, those are done in the offseason. Any short term cap that needs to be moved at this time of year goes back the other way as part of deadline trades. You'd be better off looking at players who will need a 3rd team to retain on instead. Kane and Toews are the ones who immediately jump out.
