I still like the idea of adding Timo Meier and he would add depth but to be honest I think Kane would be a much smarter add when it comes to making a playoff push. He would probably be willing to sign a short term contract to be a veteran leader for a couple years. But his All-Star skill, his clutch, and his massive playoff WINNING experience would be such a big add to the team. I see the cost being similar to the Giroux trade

Hawks say yes to this. They'd prefer the 2023, but they'd still say yes.

***EDIT*** It's a bit odd sending the 2024 pick. Almost seems like you're going for it, but also don't truly believe in your team's capable of being 28-32 in the draft order.

Tried to make it similar to the Giroux trade. Smart thing to do is for no team to trade 2023 1st cause it’s a stacked draft
