This is how I look at it...
He's an RFA at season end and is probably gonna make north of 8 AAV. If offer sheeted in the summer his compensation would be 2 firsts, one second and one 3rd.
You'd think the sharks would want the equivalent of that or more at the deadline or they would just wait till summer. Sharks wouldn't need to retain so there isn't any added value from that.
So if the jets made the deal they would be paying for a rental with RFA rights they then could then flip (or not match an offer sheet) in the summer for a lot of value.
I guess what Im saying is...this wont get it done haha
