Description
Wings:

Trade is made after the draft lottery when we know that the Wings stay put. Pick is number #11. If the Sens want a guy like Zadina, Kubalik or Fabbri back, I would be okay with it. Zaitsev has only a year left on his contract and the Wings have so much Cap space. I Signed Larkin and Debrincat to showcase how much Cap space there still would be. Wings don't have a 1st, but they need to draft well in the 2nd round where they have at least two picks. Maybe even more (who knows what's gonna happen at the deadline. Debrincat-Larkin-Raymond :D

Senators:

A lot of Cap space for the summer. Should get a really good player with the pick. It's a very good draft. Losing Zaitsev in the same deal is a big bonus.

Only thing that that makes me thing that this wouldn't happen is because Det and Sens are in the same division.

Good thought. IMO Sens should jump at this. I just wonder if Yzerman would be thinking, that he could spend 8m plus on a UFA and keep the pick

DeBrincat has a qualifying offer of 9 million.

There are going to be RW UFAs available to spend money on and keeping the pick.

What rw ufa is close to debrincat ? Pasta ain’t signing with the Wings. It’s debrincat’s age - combined with the talent - that makes him so attractive

Can't see the sens doing this. Not enough value and we're trying to win now. Trading to a divisional team for a pick would accomplish the opposite.
I see us resigning him for $8.35m x 8 years, similar to what Hintz and Stutzle got.
