    Or, and call me crazy, LA doesn’t give up that massive package, and just waits an extra year for him to hit UFA. LA won’t be dumb enough to give up all that when they could wait 1 extra year and potentially land him for only cap space.

    Jets won’t take that package for Pionk

    The point is Toronto would be opening a bidding war to avoid that. LA needs to clear out some space for him anyway to afford him.

    How much is AM going to sign in FA? 14.2m+? This might not be the haul, but no one is going to wait to try signing him, except Arizona if they can even afford to pay his contract. I wouldn't be surprised if Matthews doesn't get dealt until before free agency the following year for something relatively small, but there's going to be roster players coming back.
