Yzerman isn't retaining on Vrana. He'd sooner buy him out.

You're looking at 1.416 for 23-24 and 1.9 mil for 24-25 on a Vrana buyout, Not to mention that you're probably not gonna be uptight to the cap next year. I'm pretty sure, Yzerman would rather retain a portion for one less year of dead cap. I'd probably have to add more than just a neutral value player (JP) but I think Yzerman would be willing to retain in a vrana deal.

Sharks accept. Knowing Grier he'll retain 50% and acquire an 12th/13th man depth level forward who has grit and "upside" along with a prospect who'll never make it to the NHL, so you can keep the 3rd.
