Description
Idk if the value is correct for these trades it's just a guess. I do think the leafs need to add some grit or TB will just bully them and physically crush them.

Tampa didnt bully or crush them last year, now they're worse and you're worried its going to happen because they added a guy who iant very good but hits?

What’s with the over reaction to Tampa trading (& paying a lot) for a 4th liner.
Take a look at Avs lineup last year. They weren’t rocking many goons but didn’t get “crushed” and neither did we in 1st round series. We added grit in ROR & Acciari; still room to add a more physical defender maybe but that’s it. Hate to see your trade proposals if we were fighting for wild card

I just dont know if theres enough value from leafs in any of those.

As far as the expiring guys, theres only contenders who'd part with anything of value. Kerfoot might get a 3rd from a contender, but they'd want some retention. Engvall I dont think gets a 3rd.

The NSH deal: Holl to NSH has no value as an expiring deal, Steeves and Holmgren are pretty midlevel prospects who are probably down the list in NSH more than TOR, so its 2 young, quality NHLers for two 3rds, I just don;t think that offer gets BOTH Nashville guys, one at best

Yep, nothing says more grit than acquiring a bottom end Dman from a non playoff team who has TWO "takeaways" this season (Lauzon)

Leafs fans seem to fascinate by bottom enders from non playoff or bare playoff teams. By the "grit" logic, shouldn't all Seattle Dmen by deemed "gritless" as the the Kraken are fighting for their playoff lives but lose 5 - 1 at home?
