Description

IMO, Karlsson would be a big mistake, and Weegar and Chychrun would cost us way too much. Jensen is my ideal - Washington gets their 2024 2nd round pick back along with a NSH 7th and a 50% retained Hamonic to finish out the season with.
OTT does their best to sign Jensen to a 2 year (3 max) extension with a SLIGHT pay bump to something like $3.25M per season.
Gambrell goes on waivers and the world is shocked into stunned silence when he clears and heads to Belleville so that Greig can come back up. We add Kleven when his season is done. That's it. Nothing else to report here...

U do know Jensen is a bit better than Zub defensively right? I feel like you’re underrating him in trade value and in contract extension value

Jensen’s extension will probably look like a 4x4 deal. He’s a fantastic skater and puck mover who is solid defensively. Won’t contribute a ton offensively, but could chip in with secondary assists, etc.

As far as the cost to acquire him, I can’t imagine the caps taking anything less than a protected first, or a second and a solid prospect. 2024 second and Thomson is something I’ve seen and I don’t hate it. 2024 protected first is also something I’d be very happy with.
