I can't see Detroit trading for a goalie for the 3rd straight year. There are some pretty good options in FA this off-season.

I don't hate the girard trade, although i would be worried about the injury concern with kylington

I think Vladar is a pretty good option and with us having 5 picks in the first two rounds I wouldn't be opposed to sacrificing a third round pick for him. I do think there are some really nice options in free agency this year but there are also a lot of teams that will be looking to upgrade their goaltending. I could see anywhere from 12-16 teams looking at add a goalie this offseason. We might miss out on good free agents so solidifying goaltender depth beforehand wouldn't be a bad option again.
