Description

Perhaps the single most stacked D-core in the NHL. Miller is meant to be a long-term Skjei replacement if he walks after 2023-24. There's also some (though might not be as much as I have here if players take more money) deadline cap to go make a move if need be, plus Svech coming back partway through the season.

Drury and Rees are interchangeable at 4C, they're both young players who have performed well in the AHL over the past couple of years. 21 year old Vasily Ponomarev is also a candidate for that 4C role

When I saw this AGM I didn't think it was a great trade from Boston's perspective either but the basic concept of Hall for futures intrigues me.

OS Miller at 6.4 or whatever the max for 1st and 3rd is and then trade Skjei for the same first 😂

I don't think there's a world where the Rangers don't match this. It's obviously a minor inconvenience to have him at that cap hit for only 3 years when something along the lines of the Dobson bridge is likely more comparable for him, but at the same time, this still leaves them a couple more RFA years at the end where they can extend him so it's not the end of the world. You offer something like 1 x $8, then all of the sudden you'll get them considering it.

Honestly think there is a good chance he is traded for futures. And it will likely be a B+ prospect and a pick. But this does nothing for me.
